IT IS A FINE LINE BETWEEN OPENING ONESELF UP AND PROTECTING ONE'S SELF.

Big picture story (funnel - bowtie)

Statistics - context - violence against women (1 in 3 women) sight my sources - where I get info - footnotes - in narrative - credibility

OFFER POSSIBLE ANSWERS - Why is this thing happening?

Why would a woman want to wear weapons?

Why do women feel unsafe .. why are so many women raped?

My experience - in service to the message

How the art evolved

broaden ..make about it the collective cultural experience..

She wears them to protect herself from predators that are not respectful (of her beauty.)

She wears weapons so her beauty is not mishandled.

EXAMPLE: Agaves. Exquisite systems in nature.

The Wearable Weapon series is built from confiscated TSA medical scissors from airports that the government has defined as 'Weapons of Mass Destruction.'

There has never been a more culturally relevant moment to begin re-writing this script of the War of Domination we are currently living in. How do we create a future culture that allows for softness and tenderness and vulnerability? How can our fierceness be in service to holding and healing trauma, celebrating pleasure, allowing for diversity and supporting radical self-love?
